Tethering your Oculus Quest to a VR-ready PC for higher performance and experiencing heavier models
With Oculus Link, PC-based users can now tether their Oculus Quest or Quest 2 to a computer using a high-speed USB-C cable. When tethered, the Oculus Quest can leverage the additional power of your computer's GPU to power full-fledged PC-based VR experiences. This allows The Wild users to experience heavier, fully federated models on a Quest headset.
You can purchase the official Oculus Link cable for $80. You can also use a third-party cable for a bit cheaper. While quality can vary across third-party cables, Oculus has internally tested the Anker cable ($20) with good results.
