What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Using our Revit Add-In

The Wild Add-in for Autodesk Revit is compatible with Revit 2018–2023.

The best way to get your work from Revit into The Wild is via our Revit Add-In. It creates a space in The Wild from any 3D View in Revit.

To get the Add-In:

To use the Add-In (Revit to VR):

  • Check out our article on how to set up your 3D views for the best performance in The Wild.
  • Select a 3D view in Revit that you'd like to see in The Wild.
  • Click View in The Wild in Revit's Add-Ins tab.
  • Click CREATE SPACE to create your space in The Wild.
  • We'll send you an email and open your space when it's ready.

Your file / 3D View is now linked to your space. You can easily update or open it at anytime through the Add-in.

To Update your Space:

  • Select a 3D View that you've previously created a space for in The Wild.
  • Click the Add-In.
  • Select UPDATE SPACE.
  • We'll send you an email and open your space when it's ready.

In The Wild, you'll see a project with the same name as your Revit file, with a space matching the name of the 3D View that generated it. Any other spaces generated from the same file will also live in this project.

Managing your links

You can use the "Manage Links" link, in the lower left of the Add-In panel, to view and manage all links to The Wild from the current Revit file.

Worksharing

If your team uses Revit's worksharing feature, you won't be able to create or update a space that is currently checked out by another teammate.

Linked Files

Our add-in supports linked RVT, IFC, and DWG (3D) files, as well as linked SketchUp files. Other formats may not be compatible and may not import into The WIld.

Best Practices

For the best experience in The Wild and in VR in general, it's a good idea to keep your model lightweight. Check out our article on best practices for preparing your 3D Views for The Wild.

You can contact us anytime. Our working hours are Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm PST.
